Are we there yet?

Are we there yet?

Seems like we've been on this trip for awhile now. How long has it been since the new kitchen update began? Four weeks, five, no six er seven.

I am tired of microwave cooking. I am tired of fast food. I am tired of slow food. I think I will not be hungry by the time the kitchen is finished.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. Vicki and I will travel 40-50-60 miles for a real meal at my brother's home. Oh boy, real oven baked turkey and dressing. Maybe gravy, stove cooked starches(!) and southern style veggies, and real desserts. Oh and I can not forget the canned cranberry jelly wih the ridges/grooves there for easy slicing. I think I might stay a few extra days... check out a fried egg, scrambled egg, poached egg, or boiled egg. Did you know you can microwave an egg? Yep, just punch a hole in the shell and let it rip. I am not going to even attempt that.

Oh well, it's time to think about losing weight again. I'll take another lap around the new kitchen and dream of the finished product.
